From: Lisa Subject: [workmom] The Answers - Places to Donate Toys Date: Tue, 28 Jun 2005 22:03:44 -0400 Thanks everyone for such wonderful responses! Several people asked me to send out the suggestions: Bnai Israel is having their white elephant sale in two weeks and is now accepting donations. My understanding is that donations are accepted when the office is open (normal business hours). Hope this helps. Bnai Israel is currently accepting donations for their white elephant sale and they give tax reciepts... There's a great place in South Orange - Children Together 973-678-2550. It's a foster care home for children. They accept donations. Also, you can try the Valerie Fund 973-761-0422 - they help children with cancer but are a bit more particular about what they accept. While this isn't a charitable organization-CanDo is happy to accept toys and books. You might want to try calling the UJA or the JCC. The Vietnam Veterans will take anything and they will pick it up from your house. I think both St Barnabus and Overlook hospitals take donations for the kids in the hospital. Valerie's fund and Salvation Army also do. Lisa
