From: Lynn Subject: [workmom] Compiled List - Dry Cleaners Date: Wed, 26 May 2004 14:43:28 -0400 SPOTLESS We use Spotless Cleaners -- the one on Millburn Ave near Whittingham. They're very nice and they pickup and deliver (for us it's on Wednesdays and Saturdays), but we usually only do it once every other week or so. I use Spotless on Millburn Ave for home delivery. I have been happy, but I know of one person who was not. We use Spotless Cleaners in Millburn -- they do deliver, do a good job and are very good. I was using Monterey and although I had no problems with them I felt they were a little expensive. I am now using Spotless Dry Cleaners and have delivery service and am equally happy there. They seem much less expensive. I had one shirt come back with a stain that looked like it came from one of the machines. I brought it in and they recleaned it with no charge and it was fine. We use Spotless and they are pretty good. They also have regular coupons in the Valpaks. We also use Spotless and they have been fine. They do pick up/drop off twice a week (Tuesdays and Fridays for our street),and have been reliable. We did do a little bit of research, and their prices tend to be lower than the competition. They also do tailoring, but I'd recommend Antonio next door for that. We've been using Spotless on Millburn Avenue for years. They recently changed owners, but it still seems fine. The new owner seems attentive and everything is always ready on time. We have used Spotless since we moved here and have had consistently good results and very reasonable pricing. I would recommend them. I think that Spotless must have changed owners because I agree that they used to do a better job. I still use them. Maybe I should consider a change. I checked in with my husband and he actually said that he has not been entirely pleased with Spotless -- a few times, shirts have come back mis-pressed, and with buttons cracked/missing. They do have new owners, by the way. OZZIE'S We use Ozzie's on Vauxhall near the Millburn Mall and the infamous bridge. They're pretty reasonable and so nice. They also have a drive through which is very convenient. we use Ozzie's on Vaux Hall road, and have had generally good experience. (A little bit of a hassle during construction thought). They don't deliver but they do have a drive-up window. 12 SPRINGS I've been happy with 12 Spring --they deliver. We use 12 springs cleaners...they pick up on Tuesday and drop of on Friday. They are on Main street in Millburn. We do not do a regular thing, so I don't know if there is a minimum for pick up. I like/use 12 Spring. They pick up and deliver for no charge. We use 12 springs cleaners on Main St. They pick up on Tuesday and drop off on Friday. The staff is friendly, and we haven't had any problem with them yet. NATURAL CLEANERS I use Natural Cleaners in Millburn because they do not us carcinogenic chemicals. They pick up and drop off twice a week. the nicest people (and service) is at natural cleaners on millburn avenue. plus, they use an environmentally safer cleaning solution. We've started using Natural Cleaners and have been happy with them. we use natural cleaners on Millburn Ave. They have good hours and have been really good with our clothes. WYOMING CLEANERS My husband stopped using Spotless for his shirts. He got fed up with too many cracked buttons and occasional sloppy ironing. He's using Wyoming Cleaners now and so far hasn't complained. I used Kings Cleaners for the first year we were out here until I had a fight with them for ruining one of my husband's shirts and not being willing to compensate. So I switched to New Wyoming Cleaners with whom we have been very happy. They pick up and deliver up to twice weekly. The may be slightly more expensive but I have been pretty happy with them. We have also been happy with Wyoming. we've been happy with Wyoming - they may be on the high side but they are very nice. I had a very bad experience with Kings in the Bally's strip. We used Spotless for a while, but were constantly disappointed with the way they pressed my husband's shirt collars. We switched to Wyoming and have been really pleased with the way the shirts are cleaned and pressed, though I have to say their dry cleaning of my clothes is only so-so. We used Wyoming and they ruined a really good top of mine (black with white collar, until they made it grey). They argued that it was the shirt. Since I got at Annie Sez, I got a letter from the mgr, who said she bought one just like it and has had it cleaner numerous times. She thinks they use cheap chemicals. The store then gave me the $$ that I spent on the top, but it was a hassle and that was my favorite top. ZAHN BROTHERS We have been happy with Zahn Brother's in Livingston. They pick up on Monday and deliver on Friday. They are not the cheapest and you must watch what comes in and goes out carefully (they lost a pair of my pants, but made good). The shirts look good and they actually clean the clothes when you send in for dry cleaning. If you call them ask for Michael or Lynn. They come to our house on Hobart and to my neighbors across the street and it would be easy for them to add you to the route. We dropped both Spotless and Wyoming (they were dishonest). Hope this helps.
