Colonial Appliance, New Providence I was very happy with Joe at Superior Kitchens in Warren We put in new countertops, backsplash and appliances, new sink. Just not new cabinets. When the granite people came to put the granite in, they said that Superior is the only place they trust to measure properly. Everyone else they need to remeasure before fitting the granite. We are just finishing our bathroom and attic/closet. I loved my contractor. He works with the woman at Kitchen Ideas but I got his name from word of mouth. He is the most pleasant man to deal with and does a beautiful job. His name is Steve Decoster from LDS Renovating. We got our tiles from Virtue Tile in Summit (again Dave the owner is very easy to work with); our cabinets from Cabinet Direct in Parsipany; knobs from myknobs.com; bathroom fixtures from Bath Connection (I didn't love them but they were effecient and everything came in fine--I would work with Ida there if I had to do it again). They gave me a discount through my contractor (about 20%). My closet (I love it) is by Closet Factory. If you want to see his work you're welcome to come and see it. We also interviewed Russ Okrent who I've heard great things about but he was considerably more money (his work is supposed to be great). We wound up using someone that had remodeled two friends' kitchens. We are nearly done with our project. I have lots of positives and some negatives. The biggest negative is that he got really busy and was not able to complete the project on time. Since we weren't living in the home and were with my inlaws for nearly 6 months, this was a major sorepoint for me. Now that we're in, I love the kitchen. The quality of his cabinetry is excellent and it is a well-designed space. I am still waiting on one non-essential piece ( a desk unit). I figure he'll find me, since we haven't given him final payment yet! He also did a great job on a master bath vanity for me. His name is Michael Mnich and and he can be reached at (973) 300-9061.
