I gotta tell you I love this group:

The Kite Runner was excellent.

I really enjoyed reading The Kite Runner and highly recommend it.

Perfect Match

Keeping Faith

Salem Falls

Mercy

The Pact

My Sister's Keeper

Queen's Fool (Philippa Gregory)

The Other Boleyn Girl (Philippa Gregory)

The Virgin's Lover (Philippa Gregory)

I just finished <Empire Falls> by Richard Russo and it was a great novel.  I think it won the Pulitzer or some literary prize and recently, was made into a movie and aired on HBO.

You may want to check out Annie Dillard's <An American

Childhood> (I'm not sure if that's the exact title) if

you haven't already.

Have you tried any of the Jodi Picoult books.  They are easy reads--only complaint is after the third or fourth they are somewhat familiar.  I have them if you are interested.

Anne Tyler, An Amateur Marriage.

Little Children- Tom Perotta

The Namesake- Jhumpa Lahiri

My Sisters Keeper- Jodi Picoult

The Time Travelers Wife- Audrey Niffenegger

I recently read, "Language of the Sycamores".  It was a good easy read.

Other good books (but you may have read them):

"The Bookseller of Kabul" (non-fiction)

"The Kite Runner"

"Secret Life of Bees" (really good and easy read)

"Memoirs of a Geisha"

"Up in Thin Air" - (nonfiction - story of a Mt. Everest Climb - amazing in many ways)

"The Five People You Meet in Heaven" (very quick read)

"The Travelers Gift" (Very quick read - interesting perspectives)

If you've ready any of Jane Austen's books, you might enjoy: "The Jane Austen Book Club"

When the Emperor Was Divine

Jodi Picoult -  My Sister’s Keeper

In The Image – by Dara Horn (a Millburn author)

The Five People You Meet in Heaven

Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress

Devil in the White City and Kite Runner

Both are great books!
